Organize a "Rose Drive"

"Rose Drives" (offering silk roses for donations) have long been one of the biggest and most successful fundraisers for MCFL! Help MCFL and the pro-life movement in Massachusetts. Organize a "Rose Drive" today!

Who: Recruit volunteers to help with your Rose Drive.

What: Order your roses from MCFL. See Order Form at bottom of page. Roses come in boxes of 144--and are available in four beautiful colors: red, pink, white, or yellow. Please allow ample time for delivery. The MCFL State Office will also provide you with instructions, posters, sample bulletin notices, and a sample thank you note to your church.

Where: Churches and community events are great places.

How: There are different ways to make roses available. Some people display rose baskets with signs. Others set up tables or have individuals hold the roses.

When: Anytime! Mother's Day is a popular time, but MCFL urges you to select dates throughout the year. For example, Father's Day in June, October ("Respect Life Month"), and around January 22nd (the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton--the infamous Supreme Court decisions legalizing abortion).

Why: The money you collect helps benefit MCFL's pro-life efforts in the state, including: education, lobbying, media events, speaker training, literature, videos, and much more!

Day of the Drive: Person in-charge collects money (suggested donation - $1.00 per rose).

After the Drive: Count the money collected. Review remaining inventory of roses. Write thank you notes to the Pastor or venue provider. Call the MCFL office to review.

Does Your Company Offer "Matching Gifts?"

Ask your Human Resources Department at your workplace if they have a "matching gifts" program. Under such a program, its possible that your employer may donate to MCFL the same amount of money that you donated. In effect, you "double" your donation to MCFL!

Remember Us in Your Will & Life Insurance

Just because your life ends, doesn't mean your support of life has to end. Please remember to include MCFL in your will/estate planning. You can also name MCFL as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy. For tax benefit reasons, you may choose to make MCFL the owner of your life insurance policy as well. To help you in including MCFL in your will/estate planning and life insurance policy, please call us for a referral to a qualified pro-life attorney and/or pro-life insurance professional.

Vehicle / Vessel Donation

Are you thinking of selling or trading in that old car, boat or RV? Why not donate it instead? As a charitable contribution to the “MCFL Charitable Trust,” your donation could make a big difference in the lives of unborn babies in our state. And donating also benefits you on your tax return. The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim a tax deduction of the value of your vehicle up to $500 or if we sell the vehicle for more than $500 we will mail you a postcard with that value for your tax purposes.

We will make arrangements to conveniently and quickly pick-up your vehicle donation (in any of the 50 states) at no cost to you. We handle the title transfer requirements and provide you with a tax deductible donation receipt at the time of pick-up! Turn your old clunker into cash … for the unborn!
